Why Linux Sucks for Artists (And Why I Stick with Mac)
Most creative software only works on Ubuntu. That’s it. And even then, you have to check which exact version is supported—super annoying.
Unlike Windows, there’s no “one Linux distro to rule them all.” If you need a different distro, good luck installing essential tools without hunting down extra libraries.
Oh, and Ubuntu? It’s commercial. So much for the “free and open-source” Linux dream. Corporate wins again—what a shocker. Who knows what they sneak into it?
Plus, open-source projects aren’t always well-audited. Who’s to say some shady file isn’t spying on you for years?
Windows is solid, no doubt, but ever since I switched to Mac, I can’t go back. The sync between iPhone, iPad, and Mac is just chef’s kiss—everything just works together seamlessly. It’s a total bliss!
